Featured works will include: The Hermit Songs by Samuel Barber, Elsa's Dream from Richard Wagner's Lohingrin, art songs of Richard Strauss, and John Corigliano's 3 Irish Folk Songs featuring flutist Victoria Hauk. All to be accompanied by the exceptional Paul Dab.

Join prize-winning guitarist Antoniy Kakamakov for a night of beautiful classical guitar music. Antoniy's performances have been acknowledged for being powerfully emotional and virtuosic. "He tackles the most difficult repertoire with aplomb, and his interpretations have intensity as well as beauty" (David Tanenbaum). Antoniy plays with "pure and humble commitment with every note" (Marc Teicholz). From Bach, Weiss and Mertz to Latin Grammy-winning guitarist/composer Sérgio Assad, this program will explore major works from the Baroque repertoire as well as more recent compositions influenced by early musical form.

The program will also feature Michael Davis's "Power Trio," Frigyes Hidas's "Interludio," Ray Premru's "Two Pieces for Trombone Trio," and Charlie Small's "Trio."

Guerrilla Composers Guild Presents: One Great City Duo at Seventh Avenue performances
May 20, 2017 - 7:30 pm One Great City Duo Alexandra Iranfar, guitar and soprano Timothy Sherren, guitar Committed to the development of new repertoire, One Great City Duo is collaborating with San Francisco’s Guerrilla Composers Guild, culminating in new works written for the duo by Nick Benavides, Emma Logan, and Michael Kropf. Other recent collaborations include award winning young composers Eric Choate and Shahab Paranj. This October, One Great City Duo gave the world premiere of Variations on a Lullaby (2016), written by Grammy Award winning composer Sérgio Assad, and dedicated to the duo.
